At Can’t keep us down Festival in Barcelona at the end of January Andris and me sat dwn with Dec, Lindsey and Tom to chat about their band, their history and their upcoming release on New Age Records. Needless to say: I really like them! Their band is great, they release positive energy on stage, Lindsey has important things to say and her vocal style stands out plus they are vegan straight edge.

Nach einem Beitrag meines Kumpels Kai von Death in the Streets Records, in der er aktuelle Bands aus Germany vorstellt, spreche ich während unserer Fahrt zur Probe unserer neuen Band THRIVE mit Rouven über seinen Job und beruflichen Werdegang, das Aufwachsen im Sozialbau in Essen-Überruhr, seine ersten Punk und Hardcoreshows und wie er von älteren dorthin mitgenommen wurde, seine Bands (Sunset, Nyari, Surface, Harsh Truth, Zero Mentality, Thrive, etc.), seine Lieblingsbands und welche Bands er derzeit gerne und teilweise immer schon hört, wie man früher mit wenig Geld auf Shows gekommen ist, und so weiter… hört halt selbst. Danke an Rouven und Kai. Habe sogar die Songs als Anspieltipp für Kohle runter geladen und neue Bands dadurch kennen gelernt.

Emre und ich sprechen über seine HC Sozialisation in Istanbul, seine Band Radical Noise und kleinere Projekte, studieren und leben im Ruhrpott, kaum noch auf Konzerte zu gehen, in Toronto der Frau zuliebe leben.
